Minimum requirements: COLOR DEVICE - Palm OS 3.5 - Palm OS 5.0 ENHANCED VERSION (For HI RESOLUTION Palm OS 5 devices)

Dropairs is an expandable fast-paced puzzle game.
In Dropairs you have a virtually unlimited variety of styles to have fun, learn new subjects and exercise your mind!

Installation:

If you have not already done so, use WinZip or a similar application to open the zip file and follow the instructions below:

• Add ONE of the the following files to your HotSync Installer:
  
  For Palm OS 5 HiRes device (Treo 650, Tungsten-T, Zire71, Sony NX/NZ, etc')
   
  • Palm OS 5 - HiRes\Dropairs_HiRes.prc
     

  For Palm OS 3.5 or 4.0 (m505, m515 and other COLOR devices) OR Treo 600 (Palm OS 5)

  • Palm OS 3.5-4.0 LowRes and Treo 600\Dropairs_LowRes.prc
     
• Install the Pair Boards (at least one Pair Board MUST be installed):
  
  If you have a Palm OS 5 device; that supports HiRes (320x320 or 320x480)
   
  • Open: Palm OS 5 - HiRes\Pairs
     

  If you have a Palm OS 3.5 / 4.0 device (or a 160x160 device even if OS5)

  • Open: Palm OS 3.5-4.0 LowRes and Treo 600\Pairs
     
• Perform a HotSync operation and download the game onto your handheld.

How to Play:

Tap Play to begin the game; or tap Pairs to select the desired Pair Board to play.

The game board is divided into two parts: 2 shapes/images are located at the top part of the screen, and 5 shapes are located at the bottom part.

The 2 shapes at the upper part of the screen belong to 2 different pairs, with their matching parts located at the bottom.

The upper pair slides from top to bottom, increasing its speed as you advance in the game.

Before the pair hits the ground you have to find and tap its two different parts (its matching pair) or your game will be over!

Scores & Notes

• Each correct match is worth 100 points, plus the remaining bonus (up to 160 points).
  This means that the faster you match a pair, the more score you gain.
   
• When you match 16 pairs one after another without a single mistake, you get the BIG bonus: 5000 points!
   
• Each wrong answer will deduct 100 points off your total, and the BIG bonus count will reset to zero.
   
• To change the board you are currently playing with, select Pairs from the game's menu.
   
• Pause the game by tapping the menu icon, tapping the upper (title-bar) part of the screen or by pressing the scroll-up/scroll-down buttons.
   
• During the game you can enter the letter "t" on the Graffiti area to see the correct answers.
  Warning! viewing the correct answers will cost you your bonus!
  

Pairs

Tapping the Pairs button, or selecting Pairs form the Game menu, will bring out the Pairs dialog.
On this dialog you can:

• View & Select the Pair Board you want to play.
• Choose to play a Random Game.
• Read the Pair Boards descriptions/instructions.
• Preview available pairs (in each Pair Board).
• Move Pair Boards into the expansion card.
• Delete Pair Boards from your device.
• Beam Pair Boards to another device.

NOTES:

• If Random is selected; each Pair Board will be playable for two rounds and then replaced by a new board (after four pairs have been matched).
• Tap the preview buttons (the Right and Left arrows) to preview the board's available pairs.
• Pair Boards on the expansion card are not available when playing a Random game.
• Selecting a card based Pair Board (from the Pair Boards List) will restore it back to the RAM (a backup copy will remain on the card).
• Tap the Menu icon and select Delete from Card to delete ALL Pair Boards from the expansion card.
   

Settings

To view the settings dialog: On the main screen, tap the Menu icon; tap Options and then tap Settings.
In the Settings dialog, you can control the game's speed, switch to Practice Mode and turn the sound on or off.

To control the speed the Pair will slide from top to bottom; select between: Slow, Normal, Fast or Random.
The speed increases as you advance in the game; you can also change the number of rounds (a single round is when both sliding pairs have been matched) before the speed is increased.
Select Practice to practice the Pair Board. Exit the Practice Mode by tapping the 'Menu' icon.

• The sound volume is controlled using the 'Game sound' selector on the General Palm OS preferences panel.

More help is available from within the game by tapping the "i" (info) icon on the title-bar part of each form/dialog.
